PS5 or Xbox Series X?

In this post we wanted to give you a run through of the pros and cons of the PS5 vs the Xbox Series X, but more specifically on which one you should pick up if you are on a budget and also which is easier to find.

The other area that we are going to look at is which has the best games, but this will be purely down to preference.

The first question we will answer is which console is easier to find?

PS5 or Xbox Series X? Which is easiest to find in stock?

Unfortunately, both of these consoles are fairly equal in the stock shortage. If you are shopping around online, you can check out our article that explains how to make sure that you find out exactly when these consoles come in stock. The main problem that you will have been that when they do come in stock is fairly short lived and then they go out of stock quite quickly.

The good news is if you are looking to buy one of these in 2022, it has become easier to find these in stock and it does tend to be more common when you see them appear.

Although they are still fairly elusive you will be able to find them more often in stock then they used to be. Follow our guide on how to make sure that you have the best chance of picking up a PS5 or Xbox Series X and that should help you if you are trying to make sure you get one in 2022.

There is no real winner for this question as they both appear quite difficult to grab.

PS5 or Xbox Series X on a budget?

If you are looking to pick up one of these consoles but you are on a budget, then there are a couple things that you can do.

For the PS5 you can actually go for the digital version which works out around a $100 cheaper, the problem that you have is that you will need to download games onto it. This means that you will probably pay more for the games than the discs, for instance as time goes on you will be able to pick up the disc version of games second-hand or cheaply. If you have limited yourself to the digital version, then you will not be able to do this.

However, if you are buying a PS5 for one particular game that you want to play and you know that you won’t end up with a huge game library then it can be well worth doing because it means that you will save money and it won’t really affect how you are using.

Xbox Series X:

For the Xbox Series X one of the best things that you can do is go direct to Microsoft and they have various plans that allow you to get access to the entire game library and also get one of these consoles where you will pay monthly for them. This means that you will get all of the games you want, and you will also be able to get one of the latest next gen consoles and pay for it monthly.

The downside of this is that you will have a monthly commitment but if you have allocated funds for these consoles, it is a great way of being able to get yourself a brand-new system without having to worry too much about the cost.

Games:

We would recommend keeping an eye on the games that you want, whether you are going for the Xbox for the PlayStation there is really no winner here because they both have a wide selection of games. Make sure that you go for the console that you want and also that it has all of the games that you want to be able to play.
